Hulu to stream nixed Fox pilot for Lauren Oliver’s ‘Delirium’

Fox may have nixed its TV show adaption of Lauren Oliver’s best-selling series, Delirium, but the show’s pilot is about to get a second life on Hulu. Watch the new trailer for the Delirium pilot and find out how you can stream the first episode for a limited time on Hulu below.

American Horror Story: Coven‘s Emma Roberts leads the cast in the pilot for Delirium, which takes place in a world where hearts can never be broken thanks to a government-regularted shot everyone must take. 17-year-old Lena (Roberts) is shown in the trailer thoroughly excited to be recieving the heartbreak cure for Deliria (another word for ‘love’ in the world Lena lives in) — that is, until she has a chance encounter with a striking police officer named Alex (The Secret Life of the American Teenager‘s Daren Kagasoff). Suddenly, Lena’s run-in with Alex has her questioning whether or not to take the cure.

Delirium was originally intended to be a new Fox pilot but after the network failed to pick it up, WIGS and Hulu stepped in and decided to make the pilot available for streaming for a limited time; the online streaming company decided to step and make the pilot available online due to the popularity of Oliver’s trilogy upon which Delirium is based.

Also starring Billy Campbell (Helix), Michael Michele (Gossip Girl), Jeanine Mason (Bunheads), Corey Reynolds (The Closer), and Gregg Sulkin (Faking It), the Delirium pilot will officially be available for streaming in the WIGS section of Hulu for 30 days beginning on Friday, June 20.

Will you be checking out the ‘Delirium’ pilot when it becomes available on Hulu?
