Hulu has already announced that their hit show The Handmaid’s Tale has been renewed for season 3 on the streaming platform!

The drama, based of the dystopian novel of the same name, just kicked off its second season in late April. Obviously it was a no-brainer for Hulu to give the go-ahead for another season, as it was announced at the Hulu 18 Presentation.
Hulu boasted the news that the series has already doubled its audience since its season one premiere. It’s also the first series on a streaming platform to take home a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for Best Drama Series.
The series stars Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Alexis Bledel, Madeline Brewer, Ann Dowd, O-T Fagbenle, Max Minghella, Samira Wiley, and Amanda Brugel. Bruce Miller created the series for TV and also serves as the showrunner.
Currently, Bruce Miller, Warren Littlefield, Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears, Ilene Chaiken and Elisabeth Moss serve as executive producers. While author Margaret Atwood will be joining as a co-executive producer for season 3.
In addition to announcing the renewal of The Handmaid’s Tale, Hulu also revealed that they have surpassed 20 million U.S. subscribers. Their total engagement on Hulu has also grown by more than 60% and 78% of their viewings come from connected TVs.
