‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 2 adds Famke Janssen, Kendrick Sampson

If the mysteries on How to Get Away with Murder aren’t enough to interest you in season 2, they’ve added two new faces to the cast.

How to Get Away with Murder season 2 will include a couple of new faces. According to Tvline.com Famke Janssen will appear in a multiple episode arc in the new season. Details as to what exactly her role will be in season 2 are being kept quiet, but rumors describe her character as “a brilliant, revered defense attorney who takes her job very seriously.”

The X-Men actress has had success in the last few years, appearing in the Taken movies and Hemlock Grove, but this role is a bit of a departure for the actress. Considering what How to Get Away with Murder has done for the careers of a large number of virtual unknowns (of which the Emmy-nominated Viola Davis is not one), we are excited to see what Famke will do with this arc.

Another bit of casting news that has us excited is Kendrick Sampson, who you may know from his time on The Vampire Diaries or the short-lived Gracepoint. The details on his role on How to Get Away with Murder are being kept equally close to the vest, but we can imagine that maybe his character will appear in Annalise’s class or as a young, hotshot cop or something. We do know that he will be appearing in the season 2 premiere, and that his role will be recurring.

As the fall season creeps ever closer, more and more answers to the growing list of questions we have will come, as well as, undoubtedly, more questions.

If you need a little refresher on what happened at the end of season 1, episodes 11-15 are available to watch on Abc.com. This can come in especially handy since the show has been on the longest break known to mankind, or, you know, since February.

How to Get Away with Murder season 2 premieres September 24, 2015 at 10/9c.
