‘His Dark Materials’ season 2 trailer teases danger up ahead for Lyra and Will

The latest trailer for His Dark Materials season 2 teases the all new dangerous adventure that awaits Lyra after she follows her father across the bridge to a whole new world– watch it below!

His Dark Material fans still have a month left to wait before the hit series returns to HBO for season 2. The good news is, those waiting for the premiere can get their fix of what’s coming up next thanks to a brand new trailer that just hit the internet.

Unveiled by the premium cable network on Thursday (October 15), the newest trailer for the adaptation of author Philip Pullman’s beloved best selling series, offers up our most comprehensive look yet with regards to what’s coming up next for Lyra (Dafne Keen).

This time around, she’ll find herself teaming up with a new stranger named Will (Amir Wilson), whom she meets in a strange and mysterious abandoned city that exists in a world different from the one she’s known her whole life.

Will and Lyra may start off as strangers, but it quickly becomes apparent that they must work together in an effort to fulfill the destiny that ties them both together.

Excitingly, the newest trailer for His Dark Materials season 2 also teases an introduction to Colonel John Parry (Andrew Scott) who introduces Lee Scoresby (Lin-Manuel Miranda) to the concept of a mysterious knife that has the ability to slice between worlds and— a tool Lee will need if he’s got any hope of finding Lyra.

But the aeronaut isn’t the only one on the hunt for Lyra. The villainous Mrs. Coulter (Ruth Wilson) is also hot on her trail– and it’s clear that she’ll do whatever it takes to find Lyra and bring her back.
