We’ve officially got our first look at David Harbour in full costume for the upcoming Hellboy reboot, and the actor looks unrecognizable!
When the upcoming Hellboy reboot hits theaters sometime in 2018, it’ll do so with Stranger Things star David Harbour putting his spin on the titular character.
Now, the studio is offering fans their first glimpse of Harbour in full costume. Released via Twitter by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola on Wednesday (September 13), the first image gives us a very detailed glimpse of the demonic hero.
“Holy crap #Hellboy #FirstLook,” reads the caption on the still.

As Variety points out, Harbour himself took to Twitter shortly after to share a different photo of himself in full Hellboy costume.
The actor captioned his black and white image with lyrics from Rolling Stone’s “Sympathy for the Devil.”
“Please allow me to introduce myself,” wrote Harbour in the tweet, which has since been deleted. “I’m a man of wealth and taste…”

One of the things that fans are sure to notice right off the bat is Hellboy’s iconic Fist of Doom. In contrast to the one actor Ron Perlman donned, it looks as though Harbour’s is a bit more mechanical in nature. Additionally, it looks like it’s already seen quite a few battles, at least if the charred edges are anything to go by.
