More Game of Thrones prequel spinoffs are on the way over at HBO!
Game of Thrones might have come to a close, but fans of HBO’s adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s novels won’t be left starving for new content.
Variety reports that the premium cable network is actually in the process of developing three more Game of Thrones prequel series.
A source close to the project revealed to the outlet on Thursday (March 18), that HBO has already tapped Rome co-creator Bruno Heller to spearhead one of the three spinoffs. The prequel Heller will helm is titled 9 Voyages.
Reportedly, 9 Voyages would shine a spotlight on the Sea Snake himself, Lord Corlys Velaryon. Lord Corlys is married to Rhaenys Targaryen and is well known for commanding the largest navy in the world. He’s also incredibly well traveled, and well known for his adventures at sea.
The other two new prequel series reportedly in development are currently titled Flea Bottom and 10,000 Ships.
The first would be set in the poorest of all of King’s Landing’s districts. Meanwhile, the second would center on Princess Nymeria, following her journey to Dorn with the Rhoynar, where she eventually married Lord Mors Martell.
Today’s news of three more Game of Thrones prequel spinoffs comes just a few months after it was announced that HBO is currently working on adapting George R.R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk & Egg into a series.
Further along in production is House of the Dragon— a prequel that centers on House Targaryen. You can read up on the latest casting news for House of the Dragon right here on Hypable!
