A fun addition has been added to Harry Potter: The Exhibition for limited dates in New York City this week: The Weasley twins in the flesh!
James and Oliver Phelps, who played Fred and George Weasley in all eight Harry Potter films, will be appearing on February 16, 17, and 19 at Discovery Time Square’s Harry Potter exhibition. You must be in line no later than 1 PM on those dates to meet the two stars.
Want to take a photo with the boys? “We hope to allow photos, but as we want to ensure everyone in line by 1pm is able to meet the twins, pics are not guaranteed,” organizers write.
It should be noted that photos are not allowed anywhere in Harry Potter: The Exhibition. This rule was disappointing to this writer when he tried to take a picture while being sorted, and the headmistress yelled at him.
Tickets can be purchased on the Exhibition’s website. It will be at the New York City location through April 7. Individual tickets cost $27 for adults, $23.50 for seniors (65+), and $19.50 for kids (4 – 12).
Will you go to the Exhibition to meet the Phelps twins, if you’re able to get there in time? Or are these two actors, who played great characters, just not enough of a draw?
