A Hamilton special is hitting Disney+ one week after a recorded version of the hit Broadway musical made its grand debut via the online streaming platform.

In a press release sent out Thursday (July 9), Disney+ announced that they’re gearing up to release a brand new special titled Hamilton: History Has Its Eyes On You.
Hosted by Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts, the forthcoming special is described as “an intimate discussion about the groundbreaking film that has become a global phenomenon.”
When Hamilton: History Has Its Eyes On You hits Disney+ on Friday (July 10), it’ll treat viewers to cast members from the hit Broadway musical sharing personal memories and stories about the time they spent performing as part of the Tony Award winning musical.
In addition, the special is also set to feature a Harvard Historian, who will share insight on the historical relevance and accuracy of the production.
Cast members set to participate include star and creator Lin-Manuel
Miranda, director Thomas Kail, as well as Christopher Jackson (George Washington), Leslie Odom Jr.(Aaron Burr), Phillipa Soo (Eliza Hamilton), Renée Elise Goldsberry, (Angelica Schuyler), Daveed Diggs (Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson) and Harvard historian and Professor Annette Gordon-Reed. Finally, Okieriete Onaodowan, who portrayed both Hercules Mulligan and James Madison in the original run of the show, appears in the tape piece at the top of the special.
