Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 director James Gunn took to Twitter last night for a Q&A about the upcoming sequel.
Raise your hands, claws and/or tentacles if you’re excited for Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2. James Gunn blew audiences away with the first installment in 2014, managing to make a Marvel film feel fresh and original just when we were starting to feel like we’d seen it all.

The continuation of Peter Quill (Chris Pratt)’s story isn’t due until 2017, but director James Gunn recently completed the script for the movie, and is clearly raring to get started.
Last night on Twitter, Gunn did an impromptu Q&A, revealing some interesting things about Vol. 2…
No Avengers/Guardians crossovers (so far)
Although Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk will be missing in action in Captain America: Civil War, don’t expect him to to go Planet-side any time soon.
I will comment on it now (as I've done before) – there is zero chance you will see Hulk in GotGVol2. https://t.co/C1jNd0ZyVb

As Gunn points out, this isn’t the first time he’s denied rumors of a Hulk cameo. But we guess he just has to keep telling us, because we really can’t let it go!
And speaking of non-existent crossovers…
Rocket is not in Age of Ultron. https://t.co/K2vP4xSRuh

Gunn also says we shouldn’t expect Captain Marvel, or any other human Marvel character:
For the time being, it's important to me that Quill is the sole human (earthling) character. https://t.co/BYt9av3rQy

More female characters?
One of the nags fans have with both Avengers and Guardians is that we’ve basically got a group of dudes, and one token female warrior and/or love interest. Guardians of course tipped the scales with the brilliant Nebula (Karen Gillan), but the male/female ratio is still extremely skewered.
Can we look forward to the balance shifting in Vol. 2?
As I've said many times it's one of my goals to get a higher % of female heroes (and villains) out there. So MAYBE. https://t.co/7IMkswlya1

Is that “maybe” spelled Y-E-S? We sure hope so. But hey, if Gunn really is committed to bringing in more female characters, we’re sure he — being the writer and director of the movie — will find a way.
Although don’t expect too many new characters:
Not too many, that's for sure! I want all of our characters to get MORE personal time than they did in the 1st film. https://t.co/P7TB9MsSYJ

Not that he doesn’t have lots of male suggestions:
Rom Spaceknight. Popeye. Snake Plissken. And Bat-Mite of course. https://t.co/qWQq96BnXz

Gunn responded to more questions in his usual snarky way, and it’s worth heading over to Twitter to check out his hilarious answers for yourself.
