Gracepoint episode 5 airs this Thursday at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on Fox, and stills depict Danny’s memorial finally taking place, a press conference involving Danny’s family, and a new investigation.

Let’s take a look at the stills, shall we?

In this photo we see Carver investigating pieces of what may be the boat that caught on fire at the end of last week’s episode. This boat may’ve been burned to cover up any evidence if it was involved with Danny’s murder. What’s interesting about this plot twist is that it confirms that the psychic was right about the murder involving the water along the coast of Gracepoint.

In these photos we see a press conference taking place with Danny’s family at a school. Are they doing this just to motivate people to come forward with any evidence? They don’t look like they’re too happy to be in front of cameras.

Whatever they’re doing in front of the media, it’s a big change from when the family wanted to stay out of the spotlight:

Several other photos depict various scenes throughout the hour, including Ellie and her husband attending the long-awaited memorial service:

Not pictured in any of these stills: Carver coming over to Ellie’s for dinner. Will he follow through with that promise or will he back out?

A video preview for Thursday’s Gracepoint shows that Carver is pleased to see suspects are starting to crack as the investigation continues. Elsewhere, we see Carver falling ill again. It may be Ellie who brought him to the hospital – after the at-home dinner?

On last week’s episode of Gracepoint we were introduced to a new suspect after forensics found this man’s phone number in a pocket of Danny’s jacket. Check out our recap of episode 4 to catch up on where things stand!
