Picture Glenn Close as a zombie, hunting down her, still living, family in a new zombie, revenge comedy. That’s exactly what you can expect if Amazon’s Sea Oak gets ordered to series.
Glenn Close, who you may know from her time on Damages, roles in Guardians of the Galaxy and/or Albert Knobbs, or maybe even from a particularly great episode of The West Wing (if you don’t love “The Supremes,” you can just keep your distance), has a fun, new project in her future.
TVLine reports that Glenn Close has been cast as the lead in a new zombie comedy pilot at Amazon. Sea Oak has not been ordered to series yet, but with a powerhouse lead like Close, it should only be a matter of time.
Close will play an older woman, Aunt Bertie, who is killed in a home invasion and comes back as a meaner, less coddling version of herself, hellbent on living her (after)life to the fullest. Her first order of business? To find her stripper nephew and awful nieces and give them a piece of her mind… and maybe get a piece of theirs?
The series gets its name, Sea Oak, from the housing development where all the parties live.
