It looks like Glee is recycling its music from previous seasons as a new cover art image has surfaced, but there’s a catch! It’s the acoustic version!
UPDATE: Listen to a live performance Darren Criss performed of this song in July 2011!
Set to air on episode 4, “The Break Up,” Glee will be covering Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” again, though this time acoustically.
It’s assumed that Darren Criss (Blaine Anderson) will perform this version, but no official word has been made yet.
UPDATE: Darren Criss has performed an acoustic arrangement of this song as many dedicated fans know! Check out this performance from July 2011 to get a taste of what we might be hearing!
What are your thoughts about Glee using previously used music? Is it okay because it’s an acoustic version and not the same song? We actually love the idea and expect that episode 4 will be a very dramatic, emotional episode based on the title “The Break Up” alone.
