“We are so appreciative of the incredible response and love you all have shown Ginny & Georgia,” said showrunner Debra J. Fisher with regards to today’s big news. “We’re especially grateful to Brianne and Toni, who set the highest bar every step of the way. We can’t wait to return to Wellsbury for Season 2.”
The first season of the series premiered on February 24, 2021 and centered on a tumultuous relationship between the titular mother and daughter duo.
When Georgia (Brianne Howey) moves teenage Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and her little brother Austin (Diesel La Torraca) to a quaint New England town seeking a fresh start, it seems as though the scene is set for Georgia to finally give her family the perfect life she’s always wanted to. Wellsbury may look like the perfect place to set down some roots, but it’s not long before Georgia finds her past coming back to haunt her.
Ginny & Georgia season 2 is set to be comprised of 10 all-new 60 minute episodes. Currently, there’s no word on when we might expect to see the second season debut via Netflix.
