The Joseph Heller classic Catch-22 is getting a limited series adaptation, which will star Oscar-winner George Clooney.

George Clooney will be back on the small screen! The former ER star (who, you know, has also done movies and stuff) is set to play the antagonist Colonel Cathcart in the adaptation, which is co-written by Luke Davies and David Michod.

According to Variety, Clooney will also serve as director on the project, along with his production partner Grant Heslov.

It does not yet have a network, but the package will be shopped around in December.

Heller’s Catch-22 is one of the most significant novels of the 20th century, with the title now being a popular phrase describing a dilemma or difficult circumstance from which there is no escape because of mutually conflicting or dependent conditions.

The satirical novel takes place during World War II, following the fictional 256th Squadron on the island of Pianosa in the Mediterranean Sea.

Clooney last starred in Money Monster and Hail, Caesar!.
