Emilia Clarke has wrapped filming on Game of Thrones season 7, and had a little party on Instagram.
Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the HBO fantasy series, celebrated hanging up her dragons for the year.
Still in her bleached blood of the dragon hair and braid, the actress fights back a smile as she lip-synchs to R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly.”
“That feeling when at last you’re a day away from wrapping season 7,” Emilia Clarke writes, adding the tantalizing teaser, “I BELIEVE THIS ONES GONNA BE A MIND BLOWER…??”
The Game of Thrones actor finished with the wry hashtag, #itakemyjobseriouslyiSWEAR…”
Whether or not this means that Daenerys will spend more time than usual on dragonback this season, it’s exciting to see that Game of Thrones season 7 is advancing to post-production. Fans were treated to a few seconds of footage in HBO’s recent preview for 2017, but remain hungry for solid information.
The season is set to span seven episodes, and will begin airing some time this summer.
Emilia Clarke isn’t the only actor to tease the upcoming insanity of Game of Thrones season 7. Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) has called the season “unbelievable.” Her on-screen sister Maisie Williams (Arya) went on an epic tweet-storm when she finished reading the scripts.
“Nothing will prepare you for this,” Williams wrote in August.
Williams has also recently teased the conclusion of Game of Thrones season 7, which is guaranteed to leave fans in a tizzy.
“It’s just kind of tumbling now. We’ve come to the climax and it’s rolling down to the end. It’s exciting,” she says.
Williams continues, “I really felt like at the end of last season everything was set up for how it was going to end. Every character came to a little junction in their lives.”
“Now we’re all going to crash down together to however this show ends.”
And that crash will leave viewers on the hook for the final season of Game of Thrones. Viewers, Williams says, should anticipate a “huge cliffhanger” at the end of Game of Thrones season 7.
