Watch two new sneak peeks for tonight’s Fringe episode “Through the Looking Glass and What Walter Found There,” and read an interview with Joel Wyman.
Following the first sneak peek for the episode, which showed Peter and Olivia grieving over Etta, two more clips have been released by Fox.
The first sneak peeks shows Walter excavating the seventh tape in the series:
And it seems like he saw something important on the tape, because as Olivia and Peter come in the next morning, he is gone:
Further, SFX has a new interview with showrunner Joel Wyman, who talks about the rapidly approaching end of the show. He says that it feels bittersweet to see the show end, explaining that, “I’m going to leave this season saying I wouldn’t change a frame and that’s what I want.” But still, “it’s hard emotionally, a lot harder than I thought it would be.”
On how he and the writers have been working towards those final moments, “we have to cherish every single moment and every single word that we do. It’s so important because this kind of thing rarely happens,” Wyman says. “We’re writing the last two episodes now and I feel we are writing perfectly good scenes over because maybe we don’t want to finish the scripts because when one is finished… now it’s a feeling of relief and dread.”
He also previews his new series, a buddy cop drama with robots! Wyman says that the show, which he describes as a “big, loud thing,” will both celebrate and investigate “some really interesting ideas about humanity versus technology. It’s a cool landscape and everything I learned from Fringe as a storyteller is going to be poured into that.”
Fringe 5×06 “Through the Looking Glass and What Walter Found There” airs tonight at 9/8c on Fox!
