KorrAsami will become canon
Okay folks, we’re going out on that limb. We think that Korra and Asami might actually get together by the end of The Legend of Korra.
Yes, the developments leading us to believe that Korra and Asami might dig each other as more than friends have been subtle. (Except for that blush — like, seriously!) And no, there haven’t been any huge signposts pointing us to expect a real same-sex relationship in the series.
And sure, maybe it’s too much to hope that Nickelodeon would allow it at all.
But we’ll be UnaVaatu’d if we let anyone deny the sweet, supportive chemistry between the Avatar and the entrepreneur. Maybe we won’t get a kiss, maybe we won’t even get a formal first date. But even if the relationship stays largely subtextual, we fully expect the signposts to point us down the wonderful road that is KorrAsami.
Koh will return
Though the enigmatic spirit called “the face-stealer” made only one appearance in Avatar: The Last Airbender, fans have long hoped to see Koh reappear in The Legend of Korra. After all, the creepy crawler did promise that he and the Avatar would “meet again,” and that promise remains unfulfilled.
Admittedly, it’s possible that Koh just doesn’t fit into Korra’s story… and heck, maybe he was talking about a different future Avatar. But though our hopes waned after Book 2: Spirits came and with no sign of the face-stealer, the increasing prominence of the Spirit World perks up our theories once again.
We know that Kuvira’s actions have made the spirits restless. We know that Korra is haunted by a vision which wears her face. And with The Legend of Korra confirmed to be the final chapter in the Avatar universe, we also know that it’s now or never for Koh’s return.
So we’re going all in on this. “Koh 2014,” guys. It’s gonna be a thing.
