The third and final trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will reportedly debut on Monday during a fan event in New York City.
Update (September 24): Warner Brothers has confirmed that the final Crimes of Grindelwald trailer will be released Tuesday, September 25. Stay tuned!
Original Story (September 17): On Monday, WB sent out invites to select fans for an upcoming event in the Big Apple, and at least two of them tweeted that a new Fantastic Beasts trailer will debut there. The tweets noting the trailer’s debut there have since been deleted.
The fan event is expected to include appearances from Crimes of Grindelwald cast members.
The last Crimes of Grindelwald trailer debuted at San Diego Comic-Con roughly two months ago. This’ll be the third trailer for the Fantastic Beasts sequel, which means this is likely the final major preview ahead of the theatrical release.
WB held a similar fan event in October 2016 to drum up anticipation for the first Beasts film. J.K. Rowling was in attendance and revealed that the series would be five — not three — movies.
Hypable will share the trailer as soon as it’s released next Monday. Stay tuned!
Editor’s note: Johnny Depp, who co-stars in this film, has been repeatedly accused of violence. He allegedly beat his ex-wife Amber Heard (read the accusations by Heard and Depp’s former associates). J.K. Rowling responded to the controversy. In July 2018, Depp was accused of punching a crew member on the set of a film in April 2017. Why are we telling you this?
