The Fault in Our Stars movie director Josh Boone has revealed that Bright Eyes will score the film.
Bright Eyes is an American indie rock band who were founded in 1995 and are still active today. Their most recent album is titled The People’s Key and debuted in 2011.
The band aren’t unfamiliar with Boone. Bright Eyes members Mike Mogis and Nathaniel Walcott scored his directorial debut Stuck in Love, which opened in limited release over the weekend in the United States. The film stars Logan Lerman, Lily Collins, Jennifer Connelly, and Greg Kinnear.
Elsewhere in the interview with KCET, Boone said that they are in the process of finalizing casting deals. He added that his Stuck editor will return for Fault.
The Fault in Our Stars movie is a book to film adaptation of John Green’s wildly successful young adult novel of the same name. It will star Shailene Woodley as Hazel and Ansel Elgort as Gus.
Filming on The Fault in Our Stars will begin this August, and producer Wyck Godfrey said last year that they hope to release in early 2014.
While Woody and Elgort are the only two cast members officially aboard the production, Nat Wolff said in a recent interview that he’s in the running for a role. Our guess is he’ll play Isaac, Gus’ best friend.
