It looks like there’ll be more of Netflix’s End of the F***ing World coming down the pipeline!
In a statement released on Tuesday (August 21) night, Netflix revealed that they have officially renewed the series, which the online streaming platform co-commissioned with Channel 4 just last year.
Season 2 of the series will find screenwriter Charlie Covell returning to pen new episodes of the series. Meanwhile, Murray Ferguson, Ed Macdonald, Andy Baker, Dominic Buchanan, and Jonathan Entwistle will return as executive producers for the second series.
The Netflix and Channel 4 series, which first premiered this past October, is based on the award-winning comic book series of the same name by Charles Forsman.
In its eight episode first season, the show followed James (Black Mirror’s Alex Lawther), a self-proclaimed psychopath, and Alyssa (Penny Dreadful’s Jessica Barden), a rebel teen fed up with things back home on an unforgettable road trip in search of a better life. As the series of events unfold, they soon come to realize that there are some things there’s no coming back from.
Details with regards to what we might see James and Alyssa tackle come season 2 are scarce.
There are also currently no details with regards to when fans might expect new episodes to start airing.
When they do, as with season 1, season 2 of End of the F***ing World will premiere globally on Netflix except in the United Kingdom where it will air via Channel 4.
