Actor Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson has confirmed who he’ll be playing in Warner Brothers and DC’s Shazam movie.
Johnson took to his Twitter account on Wednesday morning to announce he’ll play anti-hero Black Adam:

According to Variety, Darren Lemke (Turbo, Jack the Giant Slayer, and 2015’s Goosebumps) is writing the script.
Johnson, who may be best known as a wrestler, has been building up a slate of big films over the past few years. He currently stars in the Fast & Furious and Journey franchises. Shazam may become a new franchise for him too.
Johnson hasn’t been quiet about his potential involvement in a Shazam film over the past few months. Just a couple weeks ago he confirmed he would have a role in Shazam but didn’t elaborate at the time.
Just yesterday we told you that Warner Bros. had recently snapped up several Justice League-related domain names, including ShazamMovie.com. An announcement about their upcoming slate of DC films post-Dawn of Justice is expected in the weeks ahead.
