‘Downton Abbey’ Christmas album in the works

Soon you’ll be able to hear your favorite Downton Abbey characters/stars singing holiday classics.

ITV has announced Christmas at Downton Abbey* featuring a holiday version of the Edwardian drama’s iconic theme song.

We don’t know what other tunes are set for the Downton Abbey Christmas album, but ITV says that in addition to songs you’ll find a reading of “T’was The Night Before Christmas” by Jim Carter, the actor who plays Carson.

Elizabeth McGovern (Cora) and Julian Overden (Blake) will also appear on the album.

The Downton Abbey Christmas album will have a whopping 45 tracks and goes on sale November 10 in the United Kingdom.

There are no plans for a United States release at this time.

Downton Abbey series 5 is currently airing in the United Kingdom. It will premiere in the United States in early January.
