The Doctor Who prequel reveals for the first time ever what became of the 8th Doctor played by Paul McGann. Writes the BBC, “On the eve of his most terrible battle, the Time Lord is faced with a choice that will change the course of his life. The darkest of days are about to begin. The Doctor has always been a man of secrets – and now they can be told…”
McGann’s 8th Doctor in the television movie was the first attempt to revive the franchise after the original television series ended in 1989. It was the only time McGann appeared as the Doctor and was planned to be used as a backdoor pilot for a TV series produced in America.
