It looks like we won’t have to wait too long for Doctor Who to return.
The BBC gave us an early holiday gift by telling us when we can expect to see more Doctor Who. The next time we see the Doctor, she’ll be fighting the Daleks in a holiday special!
The news was announced on the show’s official Twitter account, as they posted that the time-traveler will return for “Revolution of the Daleks.”

Unfortunately, this will just be a one-off special, and not the beginning of a new season, but after the Series 12 cliffhanger ending, we’ll take whatever we can get.

Showrunner Chris Chibnall said, “We can’t leave the Doctor there! On that cliffhanger! Well, we did. But rest assured, the Doctor and her friends will be back for a one-off extended Special around Christmas and New Year. (I don’t know when they’re going to put it on yet, otherwise we’d tell you!). There will be Daleks. There will be exterminations. Thrills, laughter, tears. You know. The usual. See you at the end of the year.”
We can’t wait to see Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor take on the Daleks over the holidays, and for things to pick back up for Doctor Who Series 13 in 2021.
