‘Divergent’s’ Four short story covers released

We’re getting a first look at the covers for the three remaining Divergent short stories following Four’s earlier years.

Four: A Divergent Collection will go on sale July 8 in hardcover and digitally. It includes The Transfer (the first eBook that was already released), The Traitor, The Son, and The Initiate.

The covers follow the same theme we saw with The Transfer which Hypable exclusively brought you last year. Each has a circular designer in the center and beautiful imagery.

The first cover is for the box set, while the remaining covers are for the individual stories. They debuted on EW Friday morning:

The short stories were set to be released individually over several months, but then Roth decided she needed more time to work on them. So, the publisher changed the release plan. “The stories turned out much meatier and more substantial than I was originally anticipating when I started them,” Roth said in December. “There’s just so much going on — Tobias’s reunion with his mother, his growing disillusionment with the faction system, and some of his early moments with Tris, to name a few. So I just really, really need more time to get them right.”

You can read the first Four short story – The Transfer – by purchasing it as a digital download via eBook outlets like Amazon for $1.99.

Meanwhile, Summit is gearing up to release the Divergent movie starring Shailene Woodley and Theo James. Box office projections say that the film will score $50 million in the United States over opening weekend (March 21), suggesting that the franchise is off to a strong start.
