Do you have what it takes to play Aladdin or Jasmine in Disney’s live-action Aladdin?
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Disney is holding open casting calls for the lead roles in the live-action Aladdin, which will be directed by Guy Ritchie.
The call is for Middle Eastern actors aged 18-25, and since the movie will be a musical, singing chops are required (and dancing skills are preferred)!
Alright kids, if you know someone who fits this, you better share this with them. Submit asap. Good luck my babies pic.twitter.com/PLP37ritcV

Filming will take place from July 2017 to January 2018 in the U.K.
Aladdin will be a live-action re-imagining of the 1992 animated classic, written by John August (Big Fish).
It’ll follow Disney’s live-action adaptations of Cinderella, The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast, the latter of which opens next week.
Disney’s upcoming Mulan had a similar open casting call for the lead characters, and the actors for those roles must be of Chinese origin.
Although we should expect nothing less, it’s nonetheless reassuring to see Disney committing to the origins of its characters when translating their animated catalogue to live-action.
