Disney released a few clips on YouTube to give us a quick look at what their new Star Wars resort will look like, and it’s breathtaking.
There is a lot of really awesome stuff coming from the Star Wars universe in the form of books, movies, shows, and toys. And while all of that stuff is awesome, it’s not really a wholly immersive experience. Thankfully, Disney understands that fans would give ANYTHING to be able to escape reality and travel to a galaxy far, far away.
So for their new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Land, they’ve not only brought the world of Star Wars to life, but they’ve made the entire experience one that you can completely immerse yourself in. Everything from the park to the resort itself is made to feel like it’s from another galaxy entirely.
Disney released a few clips of the concept for their resort, and honestly, they’re nothing short of amazing. The rooms are meant to make you feel like you’re in a spaceship, with every room window giving you a wonderful eyeful of the vastness of space. And of course, cosplay is totally encouraged while staying at the resort.
These clips are short, but they really paint a great picture of the experience Disney is trying to foster with Galaxy’s Edge. More immersive parks like Universal Studio’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter are becoming more and more popular with fans, and from the looks of this clip, Galaxy’s Edge is going to take that experience even further.
Galaxy’s Edge is set to open at Disneyland and Disney World Resorts in 2019, and we just can’t wait.
