The upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series at Disney+ has found its newest cast member in Indira Varma.
According to Deadline, actress Indira Varma is the latest cast member to join the ranks of the long gestating Obi-Wan Kenobi series over at Disney+.
As with most other Star Wars properties that are still in development, details surrounding the Game of Thrones alum’s role are being kept in secrecy for the time being.
Varma joins a cast comprised of notable Star Wars vets including Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen.
Both actors have previously signed on to reprise their roles from the prequels as the titular Jedi master and Darth Vader, respectively.

The highly anticipated live-action series has been in the works over at Disney+ since August 2019 when McGregor himself was the first to announce that it was officially in development.
The streamer later revealed that the series was being put on hold indefinitely, though it seems as though development on the show has slowly started ramping back up.
April 2020 brought news that Disney+ had tasked Joby Harold (King Arthur, John Wick 3) to serve as writer on the forthcoming series. Harold takes over the reins on writing duties from Hossein Amini who left the project in January 2020.
He’ll be working behind the camera alongside The Mandalorian director Deborah Chow, who was tapped to direct on the Obi-Wan Kenobi series last year.
Currently, there’s no word on when we can expect to see the series debut via Disney+.
