Luca is a fish out of water in the newest trailer for Disney and Pixar’s next feature film— check it out below!
When Disney and Pixar’s Luca debuts via Disney+ in June, fans will be introduced to the titular 13-year-old sea monster who’s got an endless fascination with the mysterious world above water.
Lucky for Luca, he’s about to get some first hand experience with life on land thanks to his daring friend, Alberto Scorfano, who convinces him to explore the Italian seaside down of Portorosso.
What transpires is an incredible summer filled with new friends, gelato, pasta, and endless scooter rides. But it’s not all fun in the sun— especially not when Luca and Alberto, who must be careful to keep their true identities as sea monsters a secret from the humans.

The forthcoming film features a voice cast lead by Jacob Tremblay, who voices the titular role.
Jack Dylan Grazer lends his voice to the role of Alberto Scorfano— an independent, free-spirited teenage sea monster with unbridled enthusiasm for the human world.
Meanwhile, Emma Barman voices Giulia, an outgoing and charming adventurer who ends up befriending both Luca and Alberto.
Also starring as part of the voice cast are Maya Rudolph, Marco Barricelli, and Jim Gaffigan. The actors voice the characters of Luca’s mother Daniella, Giulia’s father Massimo, and Luca’s father Lorenzo, respectively.
Behind the camera, the animated feature film is directed by Academy Award nominee Enrico Casarosa, who previously helmed La Luna. Meanwhile, Lava and Cars 3 vet Andrea Warren serves as producer.
Luca debuts via Disney+ on June 18.
