Disney made some awesome announcements at D23 about exciting developments at Disney Parks regarding the Star Wars hotel, Avengers land, and more.
Disney Parks have really been stepping up their game lately, and it seems they aren’t about to slow down their park development any time soon. At D23 this year, the entertainment giant dropped the news about some really exciting new stuff coming to the parks.
First up, let’s talk Star Wars! As the Disney Parks blog explained, the Star Wars hotel at Walt Disney World Resort officially has its name, Star Wars: Galactic Cruiser.
When you check into the ship, called the Halycon, you sign on for two nights of intergalactic adventure. While on the glamorous ship, you’ll interact with characters and take part in stories that will unfold around you during your stay. Disney also released some concept art for the Halycon.
But there’s a lot more to Walt Disney World than Star Wars land! Epcot will also be getting an extensive makeover, including the Journey of Water, inspired by Moana.
The details for the renovation are still a bit vague, but it sounds absolutely fascinating and beautiful. As the Disney Parks blog says, guests will be able to “interact with magical, living water in a beautiful and inspiring setting.”
We also have some really exciting news about the forthcoming superhero lands. As the Disney Parks blog reveals, the hero-themed experience is going to be called Avengers Campus, and just like an Avengers movie, guests will be treated to a global adventure as soon as they set foot on the Campus.
The Avengers Campus takes guests on a journey that spans from Paris to California to Hong Kong, and along the way the Avengers recruit new people to join them. We’ll get more news about the Avengers Campus as D23 carries on, but they did release some exciting concept art for the new land, and we are officially pumped.
With D23 just starting, there is likely a lot more exciting news coming our way about Disney Parks, so stick with us and we’ll keep you posted as more news breaks.
