Looks like Rosario Dawson is headed to Disney’s Haunted Mansion.
According to Deadline, actress Rosario Dawson has officially signed on to join the cast of Disney’s upcoming live action Haunted Mansion movie.
Dawson is the latest notable name to join the cast of the movie based on the iconic Disney Parks attraction of the same name.
Others who were recently announced to have signed on to star in the feature film include LaKeith Stanfield (Knives Out), Tiffany Haddish (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent), and Owen Wilson (Disney+ and Marvel’s Loki).
Unfortunately, fans itching to discover who Rosario Dawson will play in the movie will have to sit tight. Plot details as well as character specifics for Disney’s Haunted Mansion movie are being kept shrouded in secrecy for the time being.
Behind the camera, Dear White People vet Justin Simien is set to serve as director on the project, with Katie Dippold (2016’s Ghostbusters) on board to pen the script.
The Haunted Mansion is the latest of the Disney Theme park rides to get the movie treatment, though it’s not the first time that the attraction in question has served as inspiration for Hollywood.
Previously, the ride served as a basis for Disney’s 2003 family feature film starring Eddie Murphy of the same name.
Shooting on Disney’s live-action Haunted Mansion movie is set to kick off next month, though there’s currently no word on when we might expect to see the film premiere.
