According to Deadline, Descendants 3 is officially a go over at The Disney Channel.
The network let fans in on the good news during Friday night’s (February 16) showing of Zombies with a fun teaser that featured Maleficent’s daughter, Mal (played by Dove Cameron).
The teaser features Mal walking toward a glowing blue light in an eerie forest. Just as she comes across the source of the light, she drops a huge, single word bombshell: “Dad?”

Joining her once more will be actors Sofia Carson (Evie), Cameron Boyce (Carlos), Booboo Stewart (Jay), and Mitchell Hope (King Ben). China Anne McClain, who made her Descendants debut in the second installment of the series, will also be returning to reprise her role as Ursula’s daughter, Uma.
We’ve also learned that High School Musical’s Kenny Ortega has also signed on to return as director, choreographer, and executive producer of Disney’s latest TV musical smash hit.
Descendants 3 is slated to premiere on The Disney Channel sometime in the summer of 2019.
