Looks like Taylor Swift is the latest big name to join the cast of Oscar winner David O. Russell’s newest film.
Taylor Swift could soon be making her grand return to the big screen.
According to Deadline, the Folklore singer is the latest notable name to join the cast of director David O. Russel’s next film for New Regency.
Russell, who’s previous credits include American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook, has lined up a star-studded cast for his next film, which doesn’t yet have a title.
Back in January, it was announced that Academy Award winner Rami Malek and Guardians of the Galaxy vet Zoe Saldana had both signed on for the untitled Russell feature, joining previously announced cast members Robert De Niro, Mike Myers. Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts. and Alessandro Nivola.
Meanwhile, actors Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, and John David Washington all previously signed on last year.
Unfortunately, Taylor Swift fans hoping to learn more about the role she might play in David O. Russell’s next movie will have to sit tight.
Details surrounding characters as well as the plot of the movie are being kept firmly under wraps for the time being. One thing we do know is that the movie is said to be based on an original idea that comes from Russell himself.
Currently, there’s no word on when we might expect to see the David O. Russell film hit the big screen.
