Actress Alison Brie revealed on Twitter that Community will return Thursday, February 7 at 8 PM on NBC.
She was quick to add “for now” to her announcement, which suggests that there’s always the possibility the show will move again:
It’s true! Community is officially (for now) coming back Thurs, February 7th at 8pm!
Community had been delayed earlier this month after NBC said they did not have enough time to properly promote the show. It had been scheduled to air on Fridays, so this new move to Thursday will be a better location for the cult show which is entering its final season.
Earlier this morning we learned that the peacock network had put Up All Night on hiatus, which led us to speculate that a Community return was imminent now that a new time slot had opened up.
In addition to Community’s return date, NBC announced the premiere dates for their mid-season shows. Most notably, Smash will be moving to Tuesdays beginning February 5. The Voice season four begins March 25 and Revolution returns on the same day.
Elsewhere on the network, new series Deception, 1600 Penn, and Ready For Love will premiere January 7, January 10, and March 31 respectively. Returning shows The Biggest Loser, Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, and The Celebrity Apprentice premiere January 6, January 8, and March 3 respectively.
