Is there any truth to the rumors about Chris Pratt’s involvement with Ghostbusters and Indiana Jones? See what the man himself has to say about it!
Chris Pratt is this month’s GQ cover star, and aside from a glorious photoshoot, the magazine has also printed a lengthy interview with the action star.
The interview covers everything from Pratt’s physical transformation to his acting techniques and his X-rated text messages to Nick Offerman. On the fandom-related side, Pratt addresses some of the wildest career rumors making their way around the internet.

First up, there’s the on-going talk of him being Lucasfilm’s next Indiana Jones, a rumor which the actor has addressed and shot down before.
It’s not that he doesn’t want to do it. But between potential Jurassic World sequels and “three more, or five more, Guardians of the Galaxy [movies],” it might simply be an issue of timing.
Having spent a lot of time with Steven Spielberg recently, you might think the issue had come up between them. But, “I just didn’t bring it up and he didn’t bring it up,” Pratt says, “so I don’t know.”

Then there’s the slightly less appealing Ghostbusters rumor.
When news broke that the Russo Brothers were planning a male version of Ghostbusters (which is also getting an all-female cast makeover), Chris Pratt was instantly named as being connected to the project. However, “No one has ever even spoken to me about that,” he says. “Never. I’ve even seen Channing [Tatum, attached to star] a couple times. As far as I know, that’s complete bullshit.”
And finally, of course, everyone wants to know about the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel. “I got teary-eyed,” Pratt says, when recalling what James Gunn has told him about the plot. “He’s so fucking smart and peculiar.”
When speaking about his involvement with Marvel, Pratt also reveals that his contract ties him to, “two more Guardians plus another couple.” This strongly indicates that we can expect to see him pop up in other parts of the MCU — but hey, as long as it’s not the over-bloated Captain America: Civil War, we’re good with that!

Chris Pratt’s plate is extraordinarily full, between Jurassic World, Marvel, and the copious standalone movies he’s signed on for (including The Real McCoy and The Magnificent Seven). But ultimately, he’s prepared to put his family ahead of any dream role. So let’s appreciate him in the roles he’s got!
(Besides, Anna Kendrick is quickly becoming our top choice for Indiana Jones anyway!)
