If there’s one thing the world was collectively hyped about on Monday (August 21) it was the arrival of the highly anticipated total solar eclipse.
If you were one of the many who stopped what they were doing to see if you could catch a glimpse of the magic, you’re not alone. In fact, tons celebrities looked to the sky, and then took to social media to document what they saw.
Some of our favorite Twilight Saga stars had fun making a pretty obvious connection:

The #eclipse is happening today.

A few brands even took the opportunity to push out new material, like Marvel’s Inhumans. The upcoming series shared some brand new character posters with fans far and wide:
“Behold The Royal Family! As the Great American #SolarEclipse2017 cast its shadow from west to east, Marvel’s #Inhumans triumphantly emerged,” tweeted the series.

But, like many of us, tons of our favorite stars flocked to Twitter and Instagram to post a cheeky eclipse selfie, or crack a joke about the highly anticipated moment:
This #eclipse is the most disappointed I’ve been since the Lost finale.

For a short time today, we and our fellow humans all across this nation looked to the sky, and we were all part of the same thing. #Eclipse

Preface: I'm going to try my best to avoid Bonnie Tyler references… ANYWAY, we don't get the "total" eclipse here in Vancouver, so I brought my special eclipse goggles! This is awesome! Just to think, every now and then I get a little bit nervous that the best of all my years had gone by…. #totaleclipseoftheheart #CouldntHelpMyself #TriedMyBest
Eclipse got us like… (that's our director, Laura and Andy in the back doing the classic hand shade. Don't worry. I don't think he looked at the eclipse like that) Also, don't worry about the dribble on my shirt. It's supposed to be there. You're gonna have to watch episode 405 of @cwtheflash to find out what's going on with that little, juicy tidbit.
My brother @dougwilliamstv and I were very blasé about the eclipse until this morning when we both panicked and realized how excited we were about it. We made plans to head to a pier on the west side, and it felt like we were toddlers again. No joke here – it was just really nice. And thank you to the kind woman who gave us her extra pair of glasses. Luckily, the bossy older sister in me has learned how to share. ❤️ // 📷 @alexastern
Did you manage to catch a glimpse of the solar eclipse?
