The first poster for The Avengers: Infinity War debuted at San Diego Comic-Con, and there’s a lot to look at.
Infinity War will be bringing together all of Marvel’s heroes when it hits theaters next summer, and the movie looks like a doozy (read our coverage of Marvel’s SDCC panel). But there’s one thing on the poster that really stands out: Chris Evans’ Captain America has grown a beard.
Cap will be the outsider in Infinity War, following his resistance to the Sokovia Accords in Civil War. As such, he’ll be moody — and what do men do when they’re sad? They forget to shave.

We also split up the poster so you can easily see the details. Seeing the Guardians, Spider-Man, and your classic Marvel heroes all together is surreal, isn’t it?
Infinity War hits theaters May 4, 2018 and is directed by the Russo Brothers. The film’s roster includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Josh Brolin, Don Cheadle, Sebastian Stan, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan and Pom Klementieff.
The movie “brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.”
