Luca Guadagnino’s hotly anticipated new film Call Me by Your Name now has its first theatrical trailer.
Call Me by Your Name premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival to thunderous praise, with critics calling the film a serious Oscar contender.
Starring Armie Hammer and Timothee Chalamet, the film tells the story of two young men, Oliver and Elio, living in Italy during the 1980s and the passionate relationship that develops between them. The film is a gorgeous and moving portrait of youth and love that feels like a timeless classic.

The trailer features stirring classical music and a new Sufjan Stevens song written for the film. In it, we see Elio and Oliver meet and get to know one another.
Even in the short trailer, you can feel the romantic tension and desire between the characters. The film takes place in a lush summer in Italy, creating a sumptuous romantic backdrop similar to Guadagnino’s other films like A Bigger Splash and I Am Love.
The theatrical poster for the film was released late last week, depicting Chalamet and Hammer as their characters Elio and Oliver. The position of the characters on the poster makes them look akin to Greek statues, which is a strong theme throughout the film.
Call Me By Your Name is set to hit theaters on November 24, 2017. The movie was picked up for distribution by Sony Pictures Classics.
