Casting for Bridgerton season 2 at Netflix continues to heat up!
According to Variety, actors Charithra Chandran, Shelley Conn, Calam Lynch, and Rupert Young have all joined the cast of Netflix’s Bridgerton season 2.
The casting news, which dropped on Monday (April 5), comes hot on the heels of word that Bridgerton breakout Rege-Jean Pierre, won’t be returning to reprise his role as the Duke of Hastings.
It also comes just a few weeks following word that actress Simone Ashley has scored the lead role of Lord Anthony’s love interest, Kate Sharma.
Speaking of Kate Sharma, a number of today’s new cast members will be sharing quite a few scenes with the lady in question come season 2.

First up, Charithra Chandran will take on the role of Edwina Sharma, Kate’s younger sister. Taught by Kate herself to be the picture perfect debutante, Edwina is described as being “kind-natured,” “endlessly endearing,” and in search of a “true love match.”
Meanwhile, Shelley Conn will play Lady Mary Sharma. Mother to Kate and Edwina, Mary’s no stranger to a scandal. Even so, she’s determined to accompany her daughters to London for the season, despite the possibility of having to endure scrutiny from the upper crust yet again.
Finally, Calam Lynch and Rupert Young will play Theo Sharpe and Jack, respectively. Theo is a printer’s assistant, who champions for the rights of everyone around him. While Jack is mysteriously described as an individual who has a connection to one of the “most notable families.”
Production on Bridgerton season 2 is happening now, though there’s currently no word on when we might expect to see new episodes debut via Netflix.
Season 2 is set to shine a spotlight on Lord Anthony (Jonathan Bailey)– the eldest of the Bridgerton brothers– as he searches for love.
