Boy Meets World stars Danielle Fishel and Rider Strong both married their partners over the weekend.
Fishel, who played Topanga on Boy Meets World and stars in the upcoming spinoff Girl Meets World as the same character now married to Cory, married longtime boyfriend Tim Belusko on Saturday in Los Angeles. Ben Savage, who plays her onscreen husband, was in attendance at the wedding.
Said Fishel on Twitter about her special day, “10/19/13 was one of the most amazing days of my life. The love in the room was palpable and overwhelming in the best way possible.”
Then on Sunday Boy Meets World supporting actor Rider Strong married 31-year-old Alexandra Barreto in Oregon. The couple met on the set of the television show Pepper Dennis in 2006.
Although they’re all friends, much of the cast attended Fishel’s wedding in Los Angeles rather than Strong’s because, as the latter admits, Fishel set her wedding date first.
Girl Meets World will premiere in 2014 on Disney Channel and has a full season order. Although Strong had a big role on Boy as Shawn Hunter, his involvement with Girl is not yet known. We know he visited the set one day to see his old friends but at this stage it looks like he may only have a cameo at best. The show will star Cory and Topanga’s daughter Riley, and Cory is now a teacher at her school.
Congratulations to both couples!
