Black-ish will be bidding farewell following season 8.
On Friday (May 14) ABC announced that it has renewed its critically acclaimed comedy series, Black-ish, for an eighth and final season.
Series creator and executive Kenya Barris took to Instagram to share the news with fans far and wide.
In a lengthy post, Barris revealed that the decision to end Black-ish with season 8 was a mutual decision between himself and the network.
“In this day and age it is rare to get to decide when your show should come to an end,” wrote Barris. “We are grateful along with ABC to be able to make this final season exactly what we’d hoped for – and to do it with the entire and AMAZINGLY STELLAR cast coming back to close this chapter out with us the right way!”
