Beyoncé’s ‘Making the Gift’ trailer makes ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ soundtrack look like a party

ABC released a trailer for Beyoncé’s Making the Gift documentary about the making of The Lion King: The Gift album.

The Lion King remake is the gift that keeps on giving, this summer. We already have the gorgeously animated movie and the amazing soundtrack and accompanying album, and now we’re getting a documentary with Beyoncé to go with it.

Making the Gift is a documentary about the making of the Lion King: The Gift album. It was produced by Queen Bey, herself, who voiced Nala in The Lion King and curated the album, which is a collection of music inspired by the movie. Beyoncé described the album as “a love letter to Africa.”

Along with Beyoncé, Making the Gift will also feature other artists from the soundtrack, which could include James Earl Jones, Kendrick Lamar, JAY-Z, Childish Gambino and Pharrell Williams.

ABC, or ABeyC, as they’re calling themselves leading up to the documentary release, shared a trailer for the TV special on Twitter, and it looks amazing! It’s clear that the making of the album was a fun and inspiring process, and we can’t wait to see what the artists have to say about it.
