Arya’s reunion with her beloved direwolf might have tugged at all of our heartstrings on last week’s Game of Thrones, but that’s not the only familiar face the youngest Stark sister stumble upon.
During her journey back to King’s Landing, Arya also ran into her old buddy Hot Pie, whom we haven’t seen since they parted ways in season 4.
While Arya’s been busy seeking revenge, it turns out Hot Pie’s been busy perfecting his cooking skills at the very Inn she left him at. And, in a moment where life perfectly imitates art, it turns out Hot Pie’s penchant for cooking up yummy eats isn’t far off from what actor Ben Hawkey has been up to lately.
Like his character on Game of Thrones, Hawkey also has a passion for baking, and it turns out, he even opened up his own bakery on July 17.
Hawkey even paid homage to Game of Thrones when naming the bakery, which is called “You Know Nothing, Jon Dough.”
Additionally, those who visit the establishment can feast on some Thrones themed treats. One of Hawkey’s most popular offerings include direwolf shaped bread, just like the ones his character Hot Pie made for Arya.
According to The Wrap, the adorably themed loaves are made of whole wheat cornbread with orange zest, and sell for £1 each via Deliveroo.
“Hot Pie’s Direwolf loaves are a favorite for Game of Thrones fans and people are always asking me for the secret of my recipe,” said Hawkey in a recent interview with Digital Spy. “I can’t share that, but Deliver customers will have the chance to try them themselves. You don’t even need to take a dangerous walk down the King’s Road to visit, it comes to you.”
