Just three weeks into their opening runs, and Batwoman and Nancy Drew fans can already count this season as a win.
The CW announced today that it would be picking up nine additional episodes for both of its newest shows, bringing the full season order for Batwoman and Nancy Drew to 22 episodes each. This shows high confidence from the CW in its freshmen series, as it’s granting a full season order to both two weeks earlier than it did for its shows last year.
According to Deadline, both Batwoman and Nancy Drew have done well with delayed viewing, with significant increases in overall audience once viewership from DVR and streaming from CW digital platforms is factored in.
The ratings for Batwoman have grown 73% among adults 18-34 and 80% in adults 18-49, while Nancy Drew has posted 94% gains in adults 18-34 and 114% in adults 18-49, according to the CW and Nielsen.
