It’s 10 days before Avengers: Endgame hits theaters, and the new trailer teases the end of a truly epic era of superhero cinema.
Chances are pretty solid that you are well aware of exactly how many days are left before Avengers: Endgame opens in theaters. Whether you’re seeing it at midnight when it first premieres or you’re planning to see it opening weekend, most of us have our plans ready to see how the Avengers take back what Thanos destroyed.
But the thing about this movie that none of us like to think about is the fact that it will be an end to an era. Marvel is moving into a new phase, and with it, we’ll be bidding farewell to some of our favorite heroes. Whether they stay dead after Infinity War, are killed after the events of Endgame, or the character moves on from being an active part of the Avengers, the MCU will never be the same.
On the one hand, it’s exciting to think about. With the introduction of characters like Black Panther, Spider-Man (who were both killed in the snap, but COME ON, there’s no way Marvel’s letting them stay dead, right?!) and Captain Marvel, there’s a lot of great stuff to look forward to in the MCU. Still, it’s kind of sad to see the original era of the MCU end.
The latest trailer for Avengers: Endgame plays big into those feelings, with plenty of great footage from Endgame as well as a retrospective of the films that got us to this point. Take a peek and enjoy the tidal wave of nostalgia and total Endgame excitement that is going to crash over you.
Marvel is doing a great job with these trailers, and we are so ready to see how the Avengers manage to restore earth or avenge the fallen in Endgame. If you haven’t snagged your tickets already, they’re on sale now!
Avengers: Endgame opens in theaters everywhere on April 26.
