One of the best parts of The Avengers: Age of Ultron was without a doubt actor Paul Bettany as The Vision. Newly released images show how the man became the unique character.
Marvel’s Age of Ultron might not have had the magic the first Avengers had, but it had one of the best characters ever introduced: The Vision. Actor Paul Bettany played the character, which was partially created by the film’s villain and the yellow mind stone. It was also great to see J.A.R.V.I.S. finally get a body of his own, ending up being one of the more interesting characters.
What’s incredible is how much of the character was prosthetics and makeup. As we see in these newly released images, there was very little CGI used around the character’s face. Considering how great the character looked on screen, it’s surprising to see that it was for the most part created with real effects.
Make-Up Magazine has released new images showing what went into creating The Vision, and it’s pretty mind-blowing how much of the character was real. Check out the behind-the-scenes images below:
Considering The Vision will be part of The Avengers moving forward, it’s exciting to think we’ll be seeing more of this impressive character in future storylines. The work that went into making this character come to life is nothing short of amazing. It seems his entire suit was actually worn on set.
With a set that we imagine is filled with green screens and people wearing motion capture suits with little green balls on them, it had to be refreshing to see a character looking so much like what they’d look like in the final cut.
