The CW has scheduled a two-night miniseries event for its much anticipated four-way crossover between Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow.
After last year’s much hyped four-series crossover between the four Arrowverse shows turned into a three-night, four-show crossover (with the only scene from the crossover appearing on Supergirl replaying on The Flash,), executive producer Andrew Kreisberg promised this year’s would be a true four-series crossover.
Now The CW has specially scheduled that event. The two-night, four-series crossover will begin Monday, November 27 on Supergirl. Arrow will follow Supergirl, airing at 9:00 p.m. for the event.
The crossover will then continue on Tuesday, November 28 with The Flash at 8:00 p.m. and conclude with Legends of Tomorrow at 9:00 p.m. — their regular timeslots.
“Last year’s crossover was our most successful week I believe in CW’s history,” CW president Mark Pedowitz explained. “We felt that in this particular case, we already had Flash and Legends paired.
“It would be better and tighter in terms of storytelling to make it like a two-night, two-hour miniseries. We thought this was a tight, concise way of doing it. Next year, we may go back to four nights.”
Black Lightning, on the other hand, will not be part of the crossover. In fact, there are currently no plans to make the series a part of the Arrowverse.
EP Salim Akil told EW, “Now, you know, everything is possible. But hopefully this season everybody will just get to know them and get to respect them and accept them for who they are before we start making other moves.” Akil, however, says he is “not opposed” to future crossovers “at all.”
Supergirl season 3 premieres Monday, October 9 at 8:00 p.m. ET; The Flash season 4 and Legends of Tomorrow season 3 premiere Tuesday, October 10 at 8:00 p.m. ET and 9:00 p.m. ET respectively; and Arrow season 6 premieres Thursday, October 12 at 9:00 p.m. ET, all on The CW.
