Anthony Hopkins joins the stellar cast of ‘Noah’

The Black Swan director announced this morning that Anthony Hopkins will be joining the cast of the biblical tale, Noah.

Hopkins will play the role of Methuselah, who is the oldest living person in the Hebrew Bible, passing at 969 years old.  In the Biblical story, God delayed the flood seven days in honor of mourning Methuselah’s death.

Hopkins is best known for his roles in The Silence of the Lambs, The Remains of the Day, Nixon, and Thor. Recently, Hopkins signed onto the title role of Hitchcock, a biopic of Alfred Hitchcock’s life.

Other cast members of Noah currently include Russell Crowe (A Beautiful Mind), Jennifer Connelly (A Beautiful Mind), Emma Watson (Harry Potter), Logan Lerman (The Perks of Being a Wallflower), Douglas Booth (Romeo and Juliet), and Ray Winstone (The Departed).
