How well does George R.R. Martin know his own book series? Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers found out during a trivia game with the author.
Meyers and Poehler took turns quizzing Martin on particular lines from the book during last night’s episode of Late Night. Martin had to assign the quote to the character who said it.
In true Late Night form, some of the lines were impossible for Martin to guess because they’re not actually from the book or television series. The “answers” to the questions that weren’t really from the A Song of Ice and Fire series are hilarious, and based on Martin’s giggle, he was equally entertained.
The author appeared on Late Night to promote his new book The World of Ice and Fire. Our own Michal Schick attended a Q&A with the author earlier this week – check out her report from the scene!
