Amazon Prime’s upcoming Jack Reacher has found its star in Alan Ritchson.
According to Deadline, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire vet Alan Ritchson has officially signed on to play the titular role in Amazon Studios’ upcoming series adaptation of Jack Reacher.
The first season of the series is set to center around best selling author Lee Child’s first Jack Reacher book, Killing Floor.
The book, which was first published in 1997, introduces readers to the titular character— a veteran of the U.S. Army who now leads a nomadic lifestyle, venturing across the United States in search of odd jobs that often find him investigating suspicious and dangerous situations.

Killing Floor finds Reacher landing in Georgia where, shortly after his arrival, he’s arrested at a local diner on suspected murder charges. From there, it’s up to Jack Reacher to prove his innocence.
Ritchson is the first to be cast in Amazon Studios’ forthcoming series adaptation, though we’re sure it won’t be long before we hear of more casting news for the project.
Behind the scenes, Scorpion creator Nick Santora is set to serve as writer, showrunner, and executive producer on the first season of the series.
Executive producing are Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Christopher McQuarrie, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Marcy Ross, and Carolyn Harris. In addition, Lee Child will also serve as an executive producer on the series adaptation.
Currently, there’s no word on when we can except the Jack Reacher series to premiere via Amazon Prime.
